Fraternity Party Turns Fatal

A Blue Raider first win celebration turned fatal after a fraternity party gone wrong.


Murfreesboro Police responded to a call at the 2400 BLOCK of Halls Hill Pike at 1:11AM to assist with a large party crowd.


According to a witness, shots were fired in the early morning hours on Sunday. Police say the shots came from the direction of Journey Drive.


It was later confirmed a 21 year old man, Marquis Turner was shot and killed. Turner was visiting Middle Tennessee from Illinois. The shooter or motive has not yet been determined.



Murfreesboro Police are asking anyone with information to call at (615) 893-1311.
