Murfreesboro city road extension from Gateway Blvd to Robert Rose Drive
The project began in 2022, extending Gateway Blvd to Robert Rose Drive.
The cost was $6.84 million of City funds and built as part of the Murfreesboro 2040 Major Transportation Plan, according to City News.
The new road will open on February 20th, and will offer drivers an alternative route that should ease the traffic flow around Ascension Saint Thomas Hospital, along with redirecting traffic on Memorial Blvd.
The project consists of a two-lane road with pedestrian sidewalks that allow a view of the Stones River.
