Worker Rescued from Top of Cell Phone Tower in La Vergne

La Vergne police and firefighters rescued a worker who suffered from a medical emergency while atop a cell phone tower Tuesday, Feb.11.

The worker was at the top of a 200-foot cell tower off Stones River Road around 10:15 a.m. with a coworker when he suffered a medical emergency.

The coworker alerted 911 and authorities were on the scene almost immediately.

The La Vergne Fire Department said the worker was in stable condition and safely brought down around 11:50 am.
