On December 6th, 2023, after many days of speculation, Middle Tennessee State University officially announced the new Head Football Coach, Derek Mason. Mason has been a coach for nearly 30 years and has deep ties to the Tennessee Mid-State. Mason looks to bring the football team back to a championship standard starting in 2024.
