A Smyrna Police Officer is facing criminal allegations and is currently under investigation.
Officer Lindsy Clemons was put on administrative leave with pay in December 2024, until the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation wrapped up its investigation.
On Feb. 4, the TBI presented their findings in the investigation to the Rutherford County Grand Jury.
The Grand Jury returned an indictment on Officer Lindsy Clemons. Clemons is being charged with 19 counts of Forgery and six counts of Identity Theft.
As of Feb. 5, Clemons has been terminated from the Smyrna Police Department.
