The MTSU Lady Raiders outlasted Charlotte on Friday afternoon behind another hot game from Anastasia Hayes, who led the way with 28 points. The game was back and forth throughout, however excellent shooting from the Blue Raiders and a booming third quarter facilitated the win on the road.

For the 49ers, Jada Mcmillan stood out going for 17 points out of 50% shooting, unfortunately the rest of the team only shot for 35% which led them to their 7th loss on the year.

The Lady Raiders came out hot at the start shooting 6-for-7 to start the game. However, the 49ers were giving it right back to them. The first half was very back and forth and Charlotte led 33-30 at the half.

The Lady Raiders lit it up from the field scoring 29 points. This scoring surge led them to an eventual double digit lead that the 49ers were never able to surmount.

The Lady Radiers were without second-leading scorer Aislynn Hayes, who did not make the trip due to an illness.

MTSU (12-4, 10-1) has a four-game lead in C-USA in front of second-place Charlotte (5-7, 4-3).

The two teams play again later today at 1 p.m.
