The Blackman Lady Blazers won their third Tennessee AAA championship last weekend against the Lebanon Lady Devils.

Both teams fought in a highly contested game with the Lady Blazers winning 64-56.

The Lady Blazer faced two other teams in the TSSAA Girls Basketball Tournament before playing in the final round.

Their first game was against the Arlington Tigers who lost 58-40 and their next game was a 54-44 win against the Maryville Rebels.

In a series of first, today’s win marked the Blazers first Championship under Coach Jennifer Grandstaff who is coaching her first season as the Blazer’s Head Coach.

Grandstaff began coaching the team in October saying, “I knew we had the right pieces,” when asked about her team’s ability to win it all.
