MURFREESBORO, Tenn. — The Blackman boys basketball team started strong and never looked back in their 67-33 win over Stewarts Creek on Tuesday.
Blackman’s strong perimeter defense and their dominance in the paint and on the defensive glass helped the Blaze get out to an early 14-1 lead, en route to a 41-13 advantage at halftime.
Leading the way for the Blaze was forward Jalen Page, who finished the game with 13 points. Blaze guard Ray Tyler also had a good night finishing with 11 points. Leading in scoring for the Red Hawks was guard Bryce Jackson, who had 12 points.
Next up for Blackman is a game at Rockvale on Friday. Stewarts Creek hosts Siegel on Friday as well.
