MTSU Women’s soccer ties a tough Tennessee Tech team playing away from home at Tech Soccer Field on Sunday night.
The Blue Raiders traveled to Tennessee Tech for an in-state match up that ended in a hard-fought tie. After going down late in the first half and conceding another goal early in the second half to go down 2-0, MTSU kept coming at Tennessee Tech with two late goals to end the game in a comeback tie.
“I am proud of the response we showed after going down late twice and against the run of play.” Coach Rhoden said. He also added, “I thought we controlled most of the game against a solid TTU team and could have taken all 3 points.”
MTSU hosts an undefeated Liberty team this week with Coach Rhoden speaking highly of them. “Liberty is having a great year and will be a strong opponent.” Adding, “We will need to play a complete game to get a positive result.”
MTSU will look to add their third win of the season at home and fourth win overall. The Blue Raiders’ will face Liberty at home on Thursday September 21st at 7 p.m. at Dean A. Hayes Track & Soccer Stadium.
