MTSU’s volleyball season goes on as they will now compete in the National Invitational Volleyball Championship (NIVC).
The Blue Raiders last played nine days ago when they fell to FIU in the first round of the Conference-USA volleyball tournament.
The tournament selected their field of teams on Sunday with MTSU and UTEP representing Conference-USA.
Not only were the Blue Raiders selected to participate in the tournament, but they were also selected as one of the eight teams that will host the first two rounds of the tournament.
MTSU will host two first-round matchups of the tournament on Friday, November 30, followed by the second-round matchup on Saturday, December 1.
The Blue Raiders will face off against the Ball State Cardinals while the Clemson Tigers and Eastern Kentucky Colonels square off in game two of the first round. The winners of each will play each other the next day.
Both MTSU and Ball State enter the matchup with streaks of two or more losses and look to bounce back following their conference tournaments.
The Blue Raiders will host the Cardinals in Murfreesboro at 7 pm on Friday, November 30.
