Covenant School located at 33 Burton Hills Boulevard has now been evacuated following an active shooter situation.
Metro Nashville Police and representatives from the Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital have confirmed that at least 5 people are dead including 3 children and 2 adults.
The shooter has also been confirmed to have been eliminated, but it is unknown if this shooter is included as one of the adults confirmed dead.
Schools within the area are also on lockdowns in response to the shooting.
Metro PD advises the public to stay away from the area as it is still an open crime scene.
The reunification center for those attending Covenant School is located at 2100 Woodmont Boulevard at the Woodmont Baptist Church.
