MURFREESBORO - The MTSU men's basketball team lost to North Texas 75-70 on Thursday, another loss in a series of close-calls the team has had this year. The Blue Raiders were down by as much as 13 points late in the second half, relying on their seniors to keep things close.

Antonio Green scored 18 points in the final five minutes of the game, including a game-tying three-pointer to tie it up at 63-63 with 3:31 left in the game.

“I made one shot and he called another play I made another one and it just kept going on I wasn’t trying to force nothing just kept going in my zone,” said Green, who finished the game going 6-of-7 from the field, including 4-of-5 from 3-point range. “Tonight might have been the one of the first nights I didn’t have any points before that it was pretty late. But just trusting the offense not trying to force stuff taking shots that come to me,” said Green.

Scurry did his damage on Thursday scoring and rebounding. He had 14 points and pulled down eight rebounds against the Mean Green.

“I thought Reggie was really good I think he got four at halftime I am not sure what he ended up six offensive rebounds and was very aggressive at the glass,” said McDevitt.

The Blue Raiders have just three games left in the regular season.

“I am aware of it but I try not to think about it too much I got enough to think about not just basketball. I just take it game by game, I know it is coming though,” said Green.
