The Middle Tennessee State Police Department made history recently when officer Erskine earned something no other female officer has before.
MTSU officer Katelynn Erskine expanded her role at the MTSU police department by earning her certification as a defensive tactic’s instructor.
She is the first female officer in the departments history to earn this certification. Erskine mentioned that earning the certificate will help her teach skills to her coworkers that can potentially be lifesaving.
