High school baseball returns after Covid suspended season in 2020

A year after COVID-19 made the TSSAA shutdown their high school baseball season. It is finally back as opening day was Monday March 15.


At Independence High School in Thompson’s Station. The Eagles are facing off against the Nolensville Knights. Senior Pitcher, Noland Turner, talks about how excited he is to be able to play his senior season, “ We lost the chance to go back to State with our season getting canceled due to Covid. But now as a senior I am just happy to get the chance to play again.”


After all the other sports were able to have successful seasons during the pandemic, it is fantastic to see the boys back on the diamond a year later. For Middle Tennessee News I am Noah Baughman.
