Tennessee Celebrates International Women’s Day
On March 8, 2019 women from all over Tennessee came together to celebrate International Women’s Day at the Parthenon in Nashville, TN.
The event showcased several artistic performances including music and dance. Nashville Mayor, David Briley, also spoke to the audience and signed the Every Woman Treaty, a global campaign advocating for the safety and societal equity of women.
As a celebration of womanhood and the cultural, political, and social achievements of women throughout history, International Women’s Day brings women together.
