Updated: Jan 29, 2019

[Package] Transcript-

The MTSU'S woman's basketball team faced North Texas Saturday night after losing to Rice last Thursday.

After being on a six game winning streak and losing the numbering seed, could they bounce back after such a tough loss?

“They were off their game, that big girl really through them off their rhythm I think, so I think they have a very good chance of winning tonight.” –Shirley Jones (MTSU Alumni and Former Employee)

And that they did.

The Lady Raiders struggled in the first half but came out strong after halftime making six of thirteen beyond the ark and dominating the paint.

Alex Johnson and A'Queen Hayes took over the second half scoring a combined total of forty-one points finishing strong as MTSU wins 61 to 46.

Head coach Rick Insell surpassed former Men's coach Kermit Davis as all winningest coach at MTSU with his 333rd career win.
