Madeline Albright: A Life of Legacy- A Conversation with MTSU Political Science Professors

Madeline Albright, First Female Secretary of State, Ambassador to the United Nations, Professor, and Businesswoman, passed on March 23, 2022 from cancer. She was a political legend and role-model for many. Her nomination to Secretary of State was incredible for women in politics everywhere. After her passing, we spoke with 2 professors at Middle Tennessee State University about her impact and her life.


Professor Stephen Robertson is an adjunct professor in the Department of Political Science and International Relations. He teaches courses in Pre-Law, Public Policy and Management, and Women’s and Gender Studies. We spoke with him about Secretary Albrights impact on women in politics.


Dr. Jonathan DiCicco is a political science professor and international relations professor. He received his PHD from Rutgers University.

We spoke to Dr. DiCicco about her political legacy.
