The Spring Commencement Ceremonies for MTSU students have been cancelled, following CDC guidelines regarding large group meetings.
MTSU’s President Sidney McPhee broke the news to students in a campus-wide email on Wednesday. The ceremonies, originally planned for May 8th and 9th, have been cancelled due to Corona Virus concerns and guidelines warning against large group meetings for the time being.
McPhee stated in his email that Spring graduates are welcome to march in any future commencement ceremonies, including the Summer and Winter ceremonies set for August 8th and December 12th, respectively.
Spring graduates will also be receiving a special care package from the university, including their diploma, a mortar board with special tassel, a commencement program, and more.
