McMinnville man arrested after filing a false robbery report

Warren County Sheriff’s Department arrested Wayne Fults after he filed a false police report of armed robbery. 

Fults reported that two armed individuals robbed him at gunpoint after a woman stopped him in the road. Fults reported that the female stated that her truck had broken down and as Fults attempted to help her, a man approached with a gun and demanded money.

Fults filed a report with the Warren County Sheriff’s Department, stating that the two suspects fled the scene. Investigators later determined that the report was a complete fabrication. Fults gave a full confession to a falsified report.

Fults has been placed behind bars with a $2,000 bond.
