MTSU women’s soccer played a tough game against ETSU on Friday, but ultimately lost with the final score 2-1. The Blue Raiders and Buccaneers battled it out during the first half of the game before Sophomore forward Kyra Ranvek scored the first goal for ETSU.
The second half of the game saw MTSU control the ball and take six shots, but Ranvek took control back for ETSU and scored her second goal of the night at minute 65.
The Blue Raiders continued the fierce competition and earned their first goal of the night when senior forward Peyton DePriest scored a penalty kick after a Buccaneer foul. This score earned DePriest her 51st goal of her career. After the Blue Raiders score at minute 79 of the game, neither team scored a goal for the rest of the night.

Looking forward to MTSU’s next game, head coach Aston Rhoden said that the team would keep “working on maintaining our composure, working on keeping possession of the ball, and trying to create more chances for our attacking players.”
