Mount Juliet Police make arrest following car chase

Mount Juliet Police took a suspect into custody following a car chase over the weekend. 



Police detained the suspect following a brief car and foot chase in the Tate Lane area of Mount Juliet.


An officer tried to perform a traffic stop for speeding on West Division Street. The suspect stopped briefly at Tate Lane before fleeing towards Lebanon Road. 


Officers deployed spike strips across the exit of Tate Lane. The suspect attempted to flee on foot and resist officers.


Officers discovered that the suspect was a convicted felon out on probation, following the arrest.  The officers found he had a handgun, numerous drugs including fentanyl, methamphetamine, cocaine, marijuana, mushrooms and various pills.


The suspect has been booked into the Wilson County Jail with the following charges: 

  • Felon in possession of a firearm

  • Misdemeanor evading

  • Resisting arrest

  • Felony evading

  • Possession of a firearm during the commission of a dangerous felony

  • Multiple counts of possession with intent to sell controlled substances


The suspect has also been charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and driving on a suspended license, according to the Mount Juliet Police Department.
