MTSU announced it will be allowing students to opt-in to a pass-fail grading system for most Spring 2020 classes.
In an update Saturday, University President Sidney McPhee stated the decision along with faculty representatives. More information about the this system will be given by the Offices of the President and Provost next week.
In addition, no Summer 2020 classes will be held on campus, with only online and remote options available.
McPhee also gave a special thanks to faculty and staff of the university. “Please know that I am personally grateful for each of you,” he said.
The announcements are part of the university’s response to the coronavirus outbreak. MTSU also recently announced that spring commencement ceremonies will be cancelled due to the virus.
