Pinkston Resigns From Metro School Board



This morning, Will Pinkston tweeted news of his resignation from Metro County School Board. He is resigning from his position as Budget and Finance Committee Chair as well. The caption for the tweet urges those reading the resignation letter to "talk amongst themselves” as he had “decided this a month ago.”


The resignations follow several days of Pinkston sending out combative tweets against the school board, says his resignation brings him "minimal regret" as he "can no longer serve on a board that is diminished by the worst of human nature."


His resignation from the school board will take effect on April 12, 2019. However, his resignation as Budget and Finance Committee Chair is effective immediately. You can read the Tweet and resignation letter here:
