MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (MTN) - The American Red Cross will host a valentine-themed blood drive at MTSU on Monday, Feb. 10th. The drive will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Room 322 of the campus’s Keathley University Center.

Blood supplies are extremely low due to both winter weather and the flu preventing donations, so anyone in the Middle Tennessee area is encouraged to donate. The greatest need is for platelet donors as well as participants with either type O-negative or type-O positive blood.

Appointments can be made on the American Red Cross website, the Red Cross Blood Donor app, or by texting “BLOODAPP” to 90999. Walk-in donations will also be accepted.
