Following Governor Lee's Executive Order (no. 17) prohibiting gatherings of more than 10 people, Rutherford County has taken steps to protect local businesses.
Rutherford County has launched an official app providing citizens with COVID-19 updates, as well as a map of all restaurants in the area that provide take-out, curbside, and delivery options at this time.
Interested citizens and business-owners can access more information at http://rutherfordcountytn.gov/covid19.
Rutherford County Mayor Bill Ketron expressed a desire to support local business practices, in spite of the need for social distancing.
"In these uncertain times, it is imperative that we help one another," said Ketron. "We are all in this together. No one is immune to these tough times we are facing, but I know our county and its citizens are resilient, and I'm confident we will get through this."
Governor Lee's Executive Order no. 17 is in effect until midnight, April 6, 2020, as of this article's publication.
