While searching for a missing child, the Rutherford County Sheriff's Department stumbled upon a human skull unrelated to the Devin Bond case.
Officers received a call last Tuesday stating a skull had been found by a dog and brought to their property.
Officers investigated and soon figured out this was not the skull of the child they were searching for, but of a person whose identity has not yet been released.
Detective Todd Sparks says that no other remains have been found. Officers are still searching for any possible leads in the new case.
