Twenty-three-year-old Larry Johnson, II is charged with first-degree murder after fatally
shooting Giovanni Gilis at a party over the weekend.
Gilis was shot following an altercation at a party on Ewing Blvd. over the weekend and was pronounced dead at the scene. Two other party-goers went to the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries and are both in stable condition.
Johnson was arrested in Cheatham County on Feb. 9 and taken into custody by members of theRutherford County Criminal Warrants Division with assistance from the Murfreesboro Police Department and the Cheatham County Sheriff’s office without incident.

He is currently being held without bond at the Rutherford County Adult Detention Center. Johnson has a court appearance on April 5 at the Rutherford County General Sessions Court.
