The Monarch’s are marching on the Blue Raiders

The Blue Raiders are hosting the Old Dominion Monarchs on Saturday.

The showdown is set for 2:30 p.m. on Saturday at Floyd stadium and the Monarch’s should be a good test for the Blue Raiders.

The Blue Raiders come in as a four point favorite, and on paper the two teams appear to be matched up evenly.

The Monarch’s come in riding a three game winning streak with hopes to continue their success against the Blue Raiders who won handedly last week.

Both offense’s have been known to put up points in a hurry, so defensive stops will be coming at a premium this weekend.

Sophomore running back Blake Watson of the Monarchs will be a player of focus when the Blue Raiders are on defense. Watson has rushed for an impressive eight hundred and seventy two yards this season and is always a threat.

The two teams are almost identical in yards allowed, points allowed, and points scored.

For the sports bettors, the over under is set at 50 points and this game is shaping up to see well over fifty points scored.

Thankfully, the games are not played on paper and the superior team will be crowned on the field. A win this weekend would be huge for the Blue Raiders as it will put them at six on the year and make them bowl eligible.

The Blue Raiders are going to need your support this weekend to help cheer them to victory!
