The Wilson County Fairgrounds are holding free COVID-19 tests Monday through Friday every week until further notice.

Testing at the site is open from 9 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., with patients being asked to enter through

the Tennessee Blvd entrance.

Wilson County Mayor Randall Hutto recently extended the county’s mask mandate to the end of September. “We hope that our numbers continue to go down, and maybe even go away before Sep. 30, which would mean we wouldn’t have to continue with a mask mandate,” said Hutto.

For those who test positive, CDC guidelines suggest a 10-day quarantine period plus 24

symptom-free hours before leaving isolation.
