The STARS award goes out to a citizen that is courageous and holds strong values. That person was Jeff Todd.
Jeff Todd was awarded the STARS award for his willingness to do the unexpected.
Todd was on Joe B. Jackson Parkway when he noticed smoke coming from a duplex just off the next street.
Todd notified the police and went over to the duplex to help out. There was nobody home during this time and Todd was able to save personal items for the family.
