Earlier last week, a member of the Rover Bus Company wanted to provide a free month of rides for Veterans to honor their service.
Past efforts have been tried in previous years, but nothing was set into place. Rutherford City Council board members decided to honor this request and allow the month of free rides.
The council took it a step further and decided Veterans deserved more than just a month. One member of council decided Veterans should ride Rover free permanently.
Any Veteran with valid I.D. can now ride the Rover for free.
