April 2nd, 2020

MTSU’s President Sidney McPhee confirmed in a campus-wide email on Wednesday, April 1st that a second on-campus student has tested positive for COVID-19.

The student, who had been residing in the Kappa Delta house, is now isolating in a private unit in the on-campus Womack Lane Apartments.

McPhee outlined in an email the precautions that MTSU is taking when it discovers a student has tested positive, which includes isolating the student either on or off campus, providing meals to those isolating on campus, and monitoring by the MTSU Student Health Services staff.

MTSU urges any student or faculty member who may be presenting with COVID-19 symptoms to get tested for the virus.
