Tennessee Commission Appoints Controversial Member

Posted Apr 19, 2021

The Tennessee Textbook Quality Commission is adding a new controversial member to their staff.

Laurie Cardoza-Moore has claimed a seat amongst the Quality Commission for math and language arts.

Cardoza-Moore is best known for her anti-islamic views and opposition of construction for a mosque in Murfreesboro quoted saying that the mosque will be a "terrorist training camp".

Cardoza-Moore's nominator Republican house speaker Cameron Sexton claims that she is a great advocate, and all of the complaints against her lie outside of her duties on the commission.
