Walk the Line Preview

By: MTN Reporter Will Chappell

Red Bull Walk the Line will take over Lower Broadway this Saturday, showcasing

professional slacklining. Athletes will alight a two-inch slackline thirty feet above the

streets of Lower Broadway to perform stunts for a panel of four judges.

The event begins at 6 p.m. with slacklining beginning 15 minutes later. Additional

slacklining sessions will occur at a quarter past each hour until 9:15. There will also be

musical performances at 7, 8 and 9 pm, headlined by singer-songwriter Charlie

Worsham. Activities will conclude with an awards ceremony and musical performance

from 9:45-10.

The event will be held between First and Second Avenue North on Broadway

and can be taken in from the street or one of many rooftop bars. There are multiple paid

public parking lots available downtown, including at the convention center, but event

organizers suggest using a rideshare.
