The Wilson County Sheriff's Department announced a manhunt in Lebanon at 12:45 Wednesday afternoon.
The manhunt began on Young Road off Sparta Pike, causing the road to be closed off to traffic during the search.
The suspect, Phillip Wayne Foster, pictured above, is under investigation for sending threatening letters to Tennessee State officials.
According to the Wilson County Sheriff's Twitter account, the letters included threats of injury or death, bomb threats and threats of distribution to delivery of chemical agents.
Foster has been charged with distribution as an act of terrorism, three charges of false reports and four charges of harassment.
